FILM ACTORS PERFORMANCE LAB MAKE THE TRANSITION FROM STAGE TO FILM
"If you're a good stage actor, but have limited close-up experience in front of a film camera, we can show you how to get the coverage (close-ups) that you deserve. Remember, nobody is going to tell you if you're doing it wrong.  Do it wrong and you could get your close-ups cut out.  Bottom line:  you end up on the cutting room floor.  We teach you how to keep that from happening."
ALLEN FAWCETT's Industry experience makes him uniquely qualified to help you transition your stage experience into a successful career in front of the camera.

History & Goals
On The Sound Stage
The Allen Fawcett Sound Stage was founded in 1992 to provide actors with demo reel shooting, editing, and training services.  Our primary goal is helping actors make the transition from stage to film by creating a reel to show agents and managers when seeking representation.  If you have ever been asked for your demo reel, and you either don't have one, or the one you have doesn't work, you need to call us.  For actors without tape, our services include a Demo Reel Shooting Package that includes shooting and editing a competitive demo reel.  For actors with tape, we Custom Reel Design & Edit the best reels in the business. Our training services include a weekly Film Actors Performance Lab taught by Mr. Fawcett where film acting technique is emphasized. You learn the secrets of a great close-up, and how to maximize the coverage (close-ups) you deserve."  This working sound stage is used by NBC and CBS entertainment for shooting network promos and screen testing for "As the World Turns," and "Guiding Light"  for which Mr. Fawcett directs.  All shooting, editing and teaching services are performed personally by Mr. Fawcett. By appointment only. Consultations and class audits are free.

DEMO REEL INDUSTRY  SHOWCASES
Barbara Fiorentino Meets Adrian
On the evening of August 11th, four agents and a casting director were mysteriously missing from their offices.  After frantic searching, they were found alive and well at the Allen Fawcett Sound Stage
MaryLou meets Agent

and there was no mystery as to why they were there.  They were discovering 20 new actors by attending a monthly Demo Reel Showcase.  Here's how the plot unfolded:  First, the actors met the industry pros in person;  then the agents and casting directors watched their new demo reels shot and edited at the Allen Fawcett Sound Stage in their Reel Production Program.  Bottom line:  ten of the twenty actors got signed as a result of the Reel Showcase. Congratulations to our clients with new agents!

Thanks to the agents who attended.  Also, special thanks to Casting Directors, Mike Wollock, Scott Lairson, Tara Johnson, Colin Daniels, Andy Henry, Lonnie Hammerman, Mel Russo, Elaine Teitlebaum, Celeste Moore, Kevin Scott, Gail Pilsbury,  Barbara Fiorentino, and the list goes on and on.

ALLEN FAWCETT BIO
BIO (Continued)
Allen Fawcett began his professional acting career in summer stock musicals at the age of sixteen.  Since then he has acted in:  35 national commercials;  7 Broadway musicals, including above-the-title billing as  ‘Joseph,’ in the original Broadway production of  “Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat;”  two soaps (“Edge of Night” and “General Hospital” series regulars);  2 CBS TV movies;  and Dick Clark/MCA TV’s lip-sync game show, “Puttin’ On the Hits,” which Allen wrote and hosted in successful syndication for 4 years (134 half-hours).
